Job Description: The Patient Assistance Counselor (PAC) plays a crucial role in supporting patients who are uninsured or underinsured, have limited benefit coverage, or face high out-of-pocket prescription and medical expenses. These patients may qualify for the Patient Assistance Program. The PAC is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to both patients and healthcare providers (HCPs) for specialty prescription medications offered by the Patient Assistance Program.
Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate the review of all application documents. * Conduct insurance investigations when applicable. * Assess patients' financial information. * Provide outcome status updates to patients and HCPs. Additional Skills & Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume insurance verification and prior authorizations. * At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare call center environment. * Proven experience in handling denials and appeals. * Flexibility to work any shift between 7am-7pm CST, Monday to Friday. * A quiet workspace that is HIPAA compliant, ensuring that phone calls and computer screens are not visible or audible to others, including family members. #Centralpriority2025 *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
