The Role

Mission:

To facilitate growth of Power Technique's Aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality maintenance, repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators.

Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Develop and promote the service aspect of our business to best generate profitable service revenues.
  • Implement procedures to ensure that all service activities are performed in an organized and structured manner.
  • In consultation with the Service Center Manager, coordinate all service resources as required to achieve targeted goals and objectives.
  • Ensure competence development on product, technical and administrative training issues.
  • Handle warranty issues with customers & provide quality feedback to Product Companies.
  • Coach and train employees in a fashion that is consistent with our company's culture and management philosophy.
  • Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence as and when called upon to do so either by design or circumstance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we expect of you?

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment, dewatering pumps (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent is required.

Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of portable compressors is strongly preferred.

Education:

2-year degree or certificate from a technical college or trade school, or 5-7 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Skills:

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate level knowledge of email software; word processing software; spreadsheet software; BPCS; SAP.

Language Ability



  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.



Math Ability



  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



Reasoning Ability



  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in variable situations where only limited standardization exists.
