Combustion Turbine Technician

Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires eight years of power plant experience or equivalent. Experience in an industrial plant environment that effectively utilized planning and scheduling is required. Must be skilled in industrial electrical maintenance, control wiring, power distribution and switchgear maintenance. Experience with Ovation or other DCS based control system and experience in the operation and maintenance of combustion turbines is also preferred. Skills such as rotating equipment alignment, welding, rigging, and machining are also beneficial.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
* Strong technical understanding of power generation.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
* Working knowledge of computer applications.
* General computer skills

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
Valid driver's license required. Electrician license preferred.

Work Conditions:
Plant environment. Working conditions will require indoor and outdoor work at a moment's notice in all types of weather. May occasionally require overnight travel to other facilities in support of maintenance activities. Requires work beyond normal working hours as needed. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
