The Certified Surgical Technologist II is an employee who is proficient in the following surgical specialties: General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, GYN, Orthopedic, and Neurosurgery/Neurospine. For applicable cases, the Certified Surgical Technologist II is proficient in performing cases laparoscopically, open, or robotically assisted. Additionally, the Certified Surgical Technologist II demonstrates proficiency and skill in Orthopedic Total Joint Surgery and Cardiac Services (CABG, Valve Surgery, TAVRs, TCARs). The employee will demonstrate independent practice in the role of primary scrub technician and will be able to assume the role of camera holder, retractor holder, limb holder, or uterine manipulator on any case, basic or complicated. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. High School diploma or GED 2. Graduate of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists with a Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Certification and meets the AB No. 347; 79th Session (2017) required. 3. Experience in scrubbing procedures in the generalized surgical specialties: General, Urology, Vascular, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery/Neurospine. 4. Proficient in performing cases laparoscopically, open, and robotically assisted. Additionally, demonstrates proficiency and skill in Orthopedic Total Joint Surgery and Cardiac Surgery. 5.
