Position Description Modine is seeking a skilled Tube Bending Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and machine operation, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate tube bending machines to bend metal structural shapes, such as bars, rods, angles, pipes, and tubes, to specified angles or contours. Select and bolt holding clamps, die blocks, and guide clamps to the machine. Position and clamp end stops on the machine to set the specified location of the bend. Start the machine to draw the workpiece through the guide clamp around the die block until the desired bend is achieved. Inspect finished products for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and keep the work area clean and orderly. Follow all required safety procedures before and during operations. Required Education & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience with tube bending and CNC control is beneficial. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and protractors. Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, for calculating material fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances. Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs repetitively and operate machinery for extended periods. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
