Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Student
Union Building Facilities Operations Manager, performs
routine a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical
maintenance within the Student Union Building. (i.e. basic carpentry, painting
and lighting)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors lighting
throughout the Student Union Building
Assists in par
stock and inventory control of light fixtures
Performs basic
carpentry maintenance tasks
Paints interior
finishes, as appropriate
Documents
facilities maintenance requirements; maintains appropriate records of work
performed.
Ensures proper
care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Performs
miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to read, understand, follow and
enforce safety procedures.
Skill in the use of computers, preferably
in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
Ability to use hand tools applicable to
trade.
Ability to understand and follow specific
instructions and procedures.
Knowledge of one of more building trades.
Desired: Variable and Flexible schedule 15-28 hours a week.
