Sunstar Engineering Americas (SEA), a highly successful manufacturer of automotive adhesives, sealants, and coating products, is seeking an experienced individual to join our team.
About the Position
The IT Systems Administrator manages and maintains the various computer, peripheral, telephony, software, server, and network systems across the Sunstar facilities. The IT Systems Administrator will lead efforts to familiarize employees with various hardware, software, and processes to enable a high level of technology proficiency amongst Sunstar employees. This is a dynamic role that adjusts to the changing IT needs and priorities of the company.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Deploy and support IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals.
- Manage and troubleshoot LAN and wireless network equipment.
- Oversee Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 accounts and services.
- Monitor and address virus, malware, and spyware threats to ensure system security.
- Collaborate with vendors to streamline operations and implement solutions.
- Set up and maintain multimedia and conferencing equipment.
- Communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Resolve critical IT issues under pressure, including outside regular business hours.
- Work in mixed office/manufacturing environments, including tasks requiring PPE and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Provide training and contribute to documentation to enhance IT processes.
Key Qualifications
- Expertise in Windows 10/11 and Windows Server administration (2008-2022).
- Skilled in managing Microsoft Active Directory, Azure (Entra), and Office 365 environments.
- Proficient in VMware 6.0+ administration for virtualization needs.
- Strong scripting abilities with Microsoft PowerShell or similar tools.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, firewall, VPN, and network backup solutions.
- Hands-on experience with helpdesk ticketing, remote support tools, and troubleshooting.
- Competent in computer imaging and Group Policy management.
- Knowledge of anti-virus/malware/SPAM prevention and resolution practices.
- Dell, Sophos, Ruckus, and Android/iOS familiarity preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing environments and related software solutions preferred.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in equivalent role.
- Needs to be able to travel between locations.
