Network Services Professional

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Network Services Professional supporting a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.

AFLCMC/HNI provides enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. The division delivers technical and policy support and maintains C3I infrastructure for USAF enterprise applications.

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Advise and support efforts in planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, installation, implementation, integration, and maintenance of networked systems used for transmitting voice, data, and video.

• Analyze and recommend network requirements based on mission needs and existing infrastructure.

• Recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure strategies.

• Monitor network performance and capacity; perform workload analysis and ensure performance thresholds are met.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network problems.

• Recommend and support backup and disaster recovery procedures.

• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating systems and associated hardware/software.

• Ensure application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in network service delivery.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance

Education: BA/BS

Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience in network systems, at least 3 of which must be within the DoD

Technical Skills

• Network architecture planning and design

• Network monitoring and performance tuning

• Network security compliance and best practices

• Familiarity with network operating systems and hardware/software integration

• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures

Interpersonal Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Effective written and verbal communication

• Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, mission-driven environments

• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
