Summary of Job Function

Comments

Resident achieves objectives and competencies for each rotation in accordance with ASHP standards for residents in pharmacy practice. The resident actively participates in patient care and ensures that medications are provided in a safe and rational manner. Any and all requirements of CMMC employment will be met.

Section III: Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure

Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD Registration in New Jersey as a pharmacist within 3 months of start date. Hospital pharmacy experience desirable. Familiarity with all phases of hospital pharmacy. Working knowledge of health care matters. Understanding of role of pharmacy department within the hospital, its interrelationships with other departments and functions. Successful completion of all orientations.

Work Environment and Hazards

Hazards include risk of physical injury from operation of equipment, manipulation of sharps and working with chemicals.
