What is the opportunity?

The Business Analyst serves as a resource and consultant to senior management by participating in the planning, communication, reporting, analysis and integration of the highly visible and strategically critical projects for the Private Client Group (PCG). The Business Analyst acts as a liaison between the PCG Strategic Business Analysis and the PCG Strategic Compensation teams and provides analytical support not only for cross-over projects between the two teams but also for the administration, maintenance and development of stand-alone projects and initiatives. Incumbent must understand the units' key drivers, performance metrics and operational processes, and work with business leaders and other functional areas to develop business cases in support of specific business initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate with business leaders and department managers on a wide-array or projects spanning from advisor recruiting to advisor transition plans and compensation initiatives.
  • Provide in-depth ad hoc analyses on a variety of complex financial issues and business opportunities by using appropriate analytical methodologies, prepare executive summaries of the results, present alternative solutions, and make recommendations to assist in managerial decision making.
  • Ensure deliverables meet corporate requirements and provide structure and communication to team members.
  • Develop and implement models and databases to track progress on initiatives and the administration of various projects. Continuously improve processes and products associated with these projects.
  • Leverage senior management time by managing projects to identify and implement changes to current business practices. Identify affected parties; organize, prepare agendas for, and run meetings to develop consensus solutions; develop and monitor action plans to ensure project assignments are completed in a timely basis.
  • Ensure project proposals receive appropriate approvals, use analysis to adjust ongoing earnings expectations, and monitor projects for successful implementation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent OR High school diploma or equivalent AND 3+ years of finance and/or job specific industry experience.
  • 4+ years of strategic planning, analysis, project management or equivalent.
  • Fully proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands.

Nice-to-have

  • Proven success creating, communicating, and executing business strategy and related outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial reporting systems, vendor management, and/or systems experience.
  • Salesforce database working knowledge

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $50,000 - $85,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
