Description

As a machinist at Senior Metal Bellows you will execute complex setups and precision machining with a focus on quality and teamwork

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. In this advanced role, you will set up, operate, and maintain a variety of CNC and manual machine tools to produce complex parts with tight tolerances and critical dimensions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CNC programming, fixture setup, blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools. You will also perform troubleshooting and routine maintenance, collaborate with engineering on custom jobs, and mentor junior machinists. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this position.

What You'll Do:



  • Program and edit CNC programs; set up fixture components for both CNC and manual machining jobs.
  • Accurately set machine origins in accordance with detailed setup instructions.
  • Machine components to precise dimensions, maintaining close tolerances with strict requirements for squareness, concentricity, surface finish, and parallelism.
  • Select, set, and load tools per setup documentation to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, material requisitions, method sheets, and other technical documentation.
  • Use a variety of precision measuring tools to inspect in-process and finished parts, ensuring compliance with blueprint specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support custom jobs and improve machining processes


What You Bring:



  • Basic computer knowledge to perform labor transactions, and other required functions
  • 5- 10 years machinig experience
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
