Medical Device Test Engineer Category: Information Technology Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-384156-3 We have a contract opportunity for a Test Engineer in San Jose California. This position is approved until the end of the year with the potential of being extended. We can only consider candidates that can work directly for our company on a W2 basis. Pay Rate$60.00 to $75.00 Schedule: 50% Hybrid Job Description: Verification test engineer, driving robustness of software, firmware, and algorithms. Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for medical device software, firmware, and algorithms based on product requirements and specifications. Design and implement automated tests and frameworks for regression testing and continuous integration. Perform manual testing of new features and interfaces. Document and track defects, analyze root causes, and follow up on fixes. Develop and execute exploratory tests to identify defects and potential risks. Create and maintain test data to be used for testing procedures. Evaluate product quality and reliability by analyzing test results. Provide timely feedback to developers and project managers on product quality, defects, risks, and potential improvements. Stay up to date with medical device testing standards, methodologies, tools, and industry best practices. Knowledge, Experience, and Skills: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field preferred. 3+ years of in testing software and firmware Embedded Systems or Firmware Test Experience with FlaUI or any desktop automation, such as WinAppDriver, is a plus. Fluency in C# and proficiency with Python required! Experience creating test benches in Python or other scripting languages (Qt a plus) Proven track record authoring requirements, developing test protocols, and implementing test automation. Software, firmware development and hardware debuggers Source control and defect tracking systems (GitHub, Jira, etc.) Testing firmware, APIs, databases, and platform integrations Test automation frameworks like Selenium, Appium, UFT, etc. plus. Knowledge of test management tools like Zephyr, TestRail, etc. plus. Authorized to work in the US and full fluency of the English language is necessary. Regulatory standards for medical device software testing (IEC 62304, etc.) plus Estimated Min Rate: $60.00 Estimated Max Rate: $75.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
