Position Summary

The UNM College of Pharmacy (COP) Office of Curricular Affairs (OCA) is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with Learning Management Systems and handling the daily operations of curricular education activities. This on-site position provides support and coordination of the COP educational program and daily curricular activities.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-focused, and efficient in handling multiple tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to prioritize and meet deadlines independently are essential.

This position reports to the Sr Operations Manager, OCA and has the following general duties and responsibilities:

  • Supports Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) courses by maintaining and updating the COP learning management system (Moodle/Canvas) and related software.
  • Updates, and assists with curricular-related software, including Moodle/Canvas, ExamSoft, SimIQ, Banner, and Enflux.
  • Works with faculty to set up courses, maintain consistency, post materials, assignments, and quizzes, and ensure timely updates.
  • Provides technical support and assistance for faculty, staff, and students on curricular software and tools.
  • Coordinates the exam process, including scheduling, assisting with exam creation, review, reporting, and grade posting.
  • Coordinates and provides support for Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs) using SimIQ and other relevant software.
  • Assists in preparing assessment reports on course outcomes and student performance; maintains and updates OCA forms and procedures.
  • Performs additional tasks related to the OCA, such as training, course scheduling, remediation and other Continuing Pharmacy Education, and ACPE Accreditation support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing curriculum support to faculty and students in a higher education environment.
  • Proficiency with educational and administrative software systems such as Banner, Moodle/Canvas, SimIQ, and ExamSoft
  • Proficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail in organizing and maintaining files and records.
  • Experience managing daily administrative and/or business needs.
  • Effective written communication skills as demonstrated in applicant's cover letter and resume.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and provide training to stakeholders.
