What Medical Administration and Data contributes to Cardinal Health

Business & Administrative Support is responsible for assisting general business operations by providing an array of administrative and data support activities.

The Medical Administration and Data job family supports the effective operation of a healthcare organization by managing administrative tasks, patient data, and medical records. This job family ensures the flow of information, maintaining patient confidentiality and supports clinical staff.

The Patient Concierge Lead is responsible for hiring and managing patient concierge associates at Fairbanks Urology. They will ensure all staff members receive training, support and development to achieve company and professional goals as well as manage patient satisfaction.This position is responsible for greeting patients, confirming demographic and insurance information, answering phones, provider scheduling, as well as other duties as assigned. Customer service skills and attention to detail are important to this role's success.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring adequate staff coverage at the front desk during times of approved PTO and is responsible for adjustments as needed during unplanned absences
  • Receives and processes all time off requests from Patient Concierge I, II and III employees
  • Leads authorization process review and correction with authorization team
  • Leads financial end of day reporting and reconciliation
  • Oversight to ensure End Of Day reports are uploaded and in office patient payment entries are accurate
  • Prepares weekly deposits
  • Oversight of referral scheduling and queue to ensure referrals are triaged effectively and efficiently
  • Participates in monthly Patient Care Specialist Meetings and goal setting with the Operations Director
  • Reviews and is responsible for short term and long term scheduling fluctuations and backfilling vacancies
  • Responsible for weekly reporting of patient volumes, areas in need of additional support, and areas of excellence and applause
  • Facilitates onboarding of new hires
  • Maintains staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Assists providers as a point of contact for Denali Biomedical patients
  • Assigns tasks to team as needed to meet daily and weekly patient care needs and business objectives
  • Perform other duties not listed, as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience, preferred
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting a plus
  • Prior leadership experience highly preferred
