Sales Application Engineer IV - Controls

Daikin Applied is seeking a Controls Application Engineer to support our Mid-Atlantic Region! This role is responsible for providing technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. The Controls Application Engineer will also provide strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace, as well as interact with customers to effectively demonstrate value of company product lines. Location: Hybrid in Washington DC

What you will do:

• Provides timely support and technical guidance to field marketing requests in areas of product selection, pricing, and application.
• Assists in product/system training and literature support development marketing assignments on directed basis.
• Keeps informed on new products and competitive models in the market place. Communicates and provides feedback to product management for product services requirements not met by current product line
• Provides team support in project negotiations in regard to strategy and tactics.
• Develops, recommends, implements, and maintains approved data record systems to provide a marketing resource data base.
• Supervises personnel progress development, along with day-to-day work assignments to direct reports. Provide leadership and direction within Marketing Applications organization.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 Year bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
• 7 years related experience and/or training

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,900 - $219,800 (plus eligibility for annual bonus) in Maryland. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
