As a Security Professional - Healthcare Desk in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will be stationed at the main entrance, greeting visitors and assisting with access control. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will monitor entry points, check credentials, and respond to inquiries, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach. This role requires you to be comfortable using computers or tablets as part of your daily responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk, providing a welcoming presence in the healthcare location.
• Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and managing visitor logs as required by site-specific policies.
• Respond to security-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Communicate with staff and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support the implementation of site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and emergency response.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
