Your role and responsibilities
This role is a resident position and will be working directly within the customer location in Linden, NJ. In this role you will be working with customers to ensure our products and systems provide maximum performance. Our Service teams solve a wide variety of key industrial challenges. We increase productivity, reliability, lengthen product life span, and improve safety. Critically, we also reduce costs, energy consumption and emissions. Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive and unplanned maintenance of Measurement and Analytics products including but not limited to Gas Chromatograph Analyzers (GC), Continuous Gas Analyzers (CGAs), Laser Analyzers, Analyzer Network products, Reid Vapor Pressure Analyzers, FT-IR, and FT-NIR Analyzers. Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, completing reports for customers, time sheets, and expense reports on a timely and thorough basis. Exercise good judgment in controlling costs and expenditures of company funds. Protect the company's capital investments by properly safeguarding and maintaining that equipment for which responsible. Strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in all transactions and relationships.
Qualifications for the role
- Associate's degree in Instrumentation and or Analyzer applied sciences with 3+ years of experience (OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of engineering / field experience)
- Gas Chromatograph Analyzers (GC) experience is a must. Continuous Gas Analyzers (CGA) experience is preferred.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
- Technical skills in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive, and unplanned maintenance of products including but not limited to flow, pressure, temperature, level meters and continuous water analyzers.
