The Senior IT Project Manager leads information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions for project that are large in scope and risk. Provides value to the organization by creating clear expectations, faster execution, fewer issues, better decisions and a higher customer satisfaction. The Hospital IT Construction Project Manager combines expertise in both healthcare IT and construction management to oversee projects that involve the implementation and upgrading of IT infrastructure within hospital facilities. Additional Information Department: IT PMO *This role is considered hybrid, but does have some onsite expectations. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, or a directly related field. Preferred Qualifications: Responsibilities POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE No direct patient care. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technology solutions and applications. Understands interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs. Demonstrates a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices 2. Develops comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Manages operational workflow changes in conjunction with the technology solutions and applications implementation 3. Manages the vendor selection process; develops, negotiates, implements and monitors contracts, ensuring conformance to approved plans and contract specifications. 4. Manage acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and in-house accountants and negotiating price and payment agreements with vendors. Develops, implements, and monitors project budgets that are complex in nature; allocates resources and tracks and approves expenditures; prepares reports detailing the status of the project budget and compliance to any requirements as specified by funding sources. 5. Coordinates the work of consultants and team members who have been assigned responsibility for various portions of a project; establishes work plan responsibilities and scope of authority; ensures technical proficiency and productivity of project staff and arranges for training as necessary. 6. Facilitates planning meetings with stakeholders and team members to discuss the project plan, including the fit-gap analysis and proposed budget; plans and conducts project meetings; develops, maintains, and presents a communication plan and related project status reports for key stakeholders. 7. Reviews and analyzes project changes requests and makes recommendations related to the execution of these requests. Plans and conducts Change Management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. 8. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action. Conducts risk and cost/benefit analyses, manages risk associated with projects, and devises strategies to deal with unexpected crises and unresolved risks. 9. Inspects projects for quality assurance. Performs project closure activities including release of contract and permanent team members from the project, and completing lessons learned and project implementation review of best practices. 10. Performs lead work over lower level project management team members by developing or modifying work plans, assigning and distributing work, providing work instruction, resolving problems encountered during daily operations, and providing input for the performance enhancement plan. Complexity: Duties assigned are generally complex and may be of substantial intricacy. Work assignment is performed within an established framework under general instructions but requires simultaneous coordination of assigned functions or projects in various stages of completion. Decision Making: Exercises judgment and discretion, and is responsible for determining the time, place and sequence of the work performed. Communications: Contacts with the public or employees where explanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, defended, and gathered and discretion and judgment are required within the parameters of the job function. Supervision Received: Performs work with minimal supervisory oversight. Under general supervision, the employee receives assignments and is expected to carry them through to completion with substantial independence. Work is reviewed for adherence to instructions, accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standard practice or precedent. Recurring work clearly covered by guidelines may or may not be reviewed. Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $109,636.42 to $164,454.63 Benefits Information Here, you matter.
