Position Summary:
This is a two-year appointment with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027.
The
Training Specialist provides administrative and operational support for
training and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and
performance. This role assists in coordinating training sessions, developing
and maintaining learning materials, and ensuring accurate tracking of training
completion. This role may develop and facilitate some learning and development programs
related to performance management, skill-building, and employee engagement. Additionally, the Training Specialist monitors
compliance of training programs, manages training records, and provides
technical and logistical support for the university's performance management
system to align with university strategic objectives.
Essential Functions:
-Manage the logistics for training sessions by scheduling, arranging venues, and setting up technology for various training formats.
-Track, monitor, and report on compliance training programs to ensure adherence to university policies and regulatory requirements.
-Support the administration and maintenance of the learning management system and performance management system.
-Assist in organizing and delivering performance management training, including goal-setting, feedback, and performance evaluation sessions.
-Collect and compile training effectiveness data through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
-Provide logistical and administrative support for employee engagement and recognition events.
-Maintain and update learning materials to ensure alignment with university policies, industry standards, and business goals.
-Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in adult learning, compliance training, and performance management to support program improvements.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development,
Psychology or related field.
-2-4 years of experience in a related area.
-Excellent communication, facilitation, consulting, coaching, and program
development skills.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Demonstrated experience in Learning Management Systems and Performance
Management Systems preferred.
-SHRM-CP/PHR credential preferred.
