Summary:

This position is hands-on and requires attention to detail and time management skills to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:




  • Maintain vendor and customer master data for Corporate and Field locations
  • Prepare various journal entries during the financial close
  • Prepare account reconciliations, research reconciling items and resolve
  • Meet regularly with Corporate Accounts Payable department to understand the process flow
  • Assist in developing training and instructions for field accounts payable clerks
  • Verification of banking details for ACH and Wire requests
  • Processing of bank payment files via electronic means
  • Complete month end closing processes as assigned
  • Assist in the gathering of information for internal and external auditors
  • Communicate with peers, field operations, and management of all levels
  • Show continuous improvement through process review and organizational development
  • Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting,Finance, Math or Economics
  • 2+ years' experience in accounting related field
  • Experience completing Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Exposure to accounts payable operations
  • Highly organized individual accustomed to managing multiple priorities, ability to meet organizational deadlines
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal controls
  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Ability to function as a team player
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel)
  • ERP experience is desired; JD Edwards preferred
