Summary The Human Resource Assistant supports positive employer-employee relationships while completing various administrative duties regarding employee relations. Tasks include new hire onboarding, separations, time and attendance reporting for payroll purposes, and general first point of contact for the Human Resource Department. Essential Functions * Adheres to plant and department safety rules, safely operates all equipment and tools, identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible.
- Maintains clean and safe work area.
- Processes payroll hours including hours recorded by third party vendors.
- Performs payroll hours reconciliations.
- Reconciles and approves invoices for benefits and third party staffing agencies.
- Onboards new hires:
- Create and maintain employee personnel and medical records.
- Point of contact for all new employee questions.
* Maintains employee information on various IT platforms, such as the ERP systems (CATS/Glovia), the HRIS system (Oracle) and the time and attendance system (Timeforce). * Creates various weekly headcount reports.
- Compiles and maintains data on absenteeism, leave of absences, vacations, etc.
- Provides Finance with month-end reports and payroll accruals.
- Posts requisitions and applicants in the company's ATS
- Coordinates slide presentations for Quarterly Review Meetings
- Coordinates employee events such as luncheons, annual picnic and holiday parties, and orders company swag.
- Completes separation documents:
- Assembles mass employee mailings.
* Performs various other duties as assigned. * Performs all duties in accordance with the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX obligations. Qualifications Education and Experience * Associates degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience in Human Resources. Competencies
