Role Summary Rivian is seeking a talented Software Engineer specializing in AI Backend development to join our dynamic team at the Normal, IL plant. This role is pivotal in building the backend and digital infrastructure for Petra AI, which is instrumental in enhancing manufacturing processes and quality. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams such as PLC and Controls, Machine Learning Engineers, and Hardware Engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions. This position requires a strong background in software development, cloud technologies, and machine learning. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and digital infrastructure for Rivian AI applications. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into manufacturing processes. * Implement and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker. * Utilize AWS services for scalable and secure cloud-based solutions. * Develop and optimize machine learning models for deployment in production environments. * Work with NVIDIA GPUs for accelerated computing and AI model training. * Integrate camera and lens systems for AI-driven applications. * Ensure robust and efficient data pipelines for AI applications. Qualifications * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. * 1-2 years of experience in software development, preferably in AI and backend systems. * Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker,Roboflow, and AWS. * Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and model deployment. * Experience with NVIDIA GPUs and Roboflow. * Knowledge of camera systems and lens integration. * Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $88,000- $110,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
