What You Will Do
Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact customer representatives to ascertain equipment/system problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including but not limited to wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
How You Will Do It
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals. Demonstrate a high level of customer service, strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly. Work independently and follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures, referring to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, and bulletins as needed.
What We Look For Required:
Must hold a valid Minnesota Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License. Candidates without this license cannot be considered. Previous experience in the fire sprinkler industry performing service and repair of sprinkler and suppression systems. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency with computer/phone systems: Word, Excel, Outlook, and mobile apps. Ability to perform service work on all water-based fire protection systems. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements. Availability for overnight travel as required. Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs. Adherence to, implementation of, and compliance with all safety guidelines and procedures. Valid driver's license with driving record meeting company requirements. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs. Ability to work in challenging positions, including ladders, scaffolding, high-lift equipment up to 60 feet, within ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings. Participation in an on-call rotation.
Preferred:
NICET certification. Backflow certification. Fire pump experience.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26/$36 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
