Work includes partner payment, records, and reconciliations of capital accounts as well as preparation of tax work papers and other tax administration matters and services. How you will contribute: Lead monthly reconciliation of Partner Capital, Partner Receivables, Partner Payables against Equity Schedule Preparation of Journal Entries Lead various partner compensation matters such as calculation of COLA increases and monthly monitoring of payments for specified partner groups Lead distribution of Distribution Statements and K-1s to partners Assist with the preparation of Federal Partnership and multi-state tax returns for Forvis Mazars LLP and related entities. Includes apportionment workpapers, accrual to cash conversions, individual partner allocations, book and tax capital reconciliation, and related tax forms and workpaper Assist with preparation of individual partner income tax returns. This includes the federal and various state returns, tax projections for estimates and planning purposes, responding to notices, and answering questions during the year Process partnership and individual returns to be filed - including e-filing returns and processing returns to be mailed as required Miscellaneous other firm tax matters, tax returns, and related items Must be able to evaluate multiple tasks for prioritization and effective completion of assigned matters Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting or related field required 5+ years of relevant experience required Demonstrated knowledge of partner accounting Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Tax preferred CPA Certification preferred #LI-OAK #LI-CH2 Illinois Wage Transparency Pursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek.
