Summary:

We are looking for a Logistics Analyst to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Corona Division of the Measurement Science and Engineering Department, which performs metrology, tests, and monitoring systems assessments supporting the Naval Air Systems Command's (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) Program.

As a Logistics Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing and improving the logistics and processes. Your work will directly impact efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, data-driven thinker, and team player who can help streamline operations.

This is a part time remote position.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Providing support in researching and investigating new approaches to business process and work package definitions.
  • Providing analysis and making recommendations for product line organizational structure and process reengineering required for meeting high-level policy and guidance imposed on METCAL support for applications of Naval Aviation Maintenance System methodologies.
  • Providing METCAL PST project resource analyses associated with task performance and assessment of resource impacts in compliance with Navy and NAVAIRSYSCOM METCAL initiatives.
  • Providing recommendations for implementing productivity improvements including, but not limited to, facility, personnel, and technology-centric solutions.
  • Provide laboratory data products support for the all-laboratory technical libraries.
  • Maintain laboratory technical data library; monitor and submit calibration problem reports, and technical publication deficiency reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Utilize logistics software and tools to optimize routes, inventory management, and warehouse operations.
  • Prepare and present data-driven reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to meet company goals.
  • Identify and address logistics issues and bottlenecks in a timely and effective manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in data analysis, using tools such as Excel, and experience with logistics software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in subject matter area or closely related field with at least 2 years of related experience OR a master's degree in a related field with 4 years of related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with at least 6 years of related and demonstrated work experience.
  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or related roles.
  • Able to obtain and maintain up to a Secret clearance.
  • Possess valid Driver's license.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management and process optimization skills are a plus.

The salary for this position is $49.68 per hour.
