We are searching for an outstanding Research Scientist or Postdoctoral fellow interested in studying the neurobiology of Alzheimer's disease using animal models, postmortem human brain tissue, iPSC and Bioinformatics tools for potential novel therapeutic target discovery and validation for regional and cellular vulnerability to neurodegeneration at Ana Pereira's Laboratory.

Candidates should have a strong background in molecular and cell biology and have experience with the following techniques:



  • cell culture,
  • DNA/RNA isolation,
  • cellular fractionation,
  • western blot,
  • PCR/qRT-PCR,
  • in situ hybridization,
  • immunohistochemical labeling.


Preference for candidates with experience in either iPSC or Bioinformatics.

Requirements:

Applicants should have a Ph.D./M.D. with research experience in neuroscience or cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field.

An interest in neurodegeneration will be highly valued. A demonstrated track record of self-motivation, ability to work independently at the bench, enthusiasm, and scientific rigor is necessary.
