Job Purpose

This role at Honda is in the Consumer Digital Platforms Unit within the IT Dept. Your goal will be to provide seamless, sustainable, and innovative solutions that exceed expectations and drive trust and satisfaction with our Customer Experience digital services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to join our IT Consumer Digital Platforms team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT/Software Development including Agile Project and Program Management in a complex environment, with hands-on experience in managing multiple IT teams and projects simultaneously, collaborating closely with business users and partner agencies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to team leads and project managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Lead and oversee teams responsible for designing, delivering, and solutions across various platforms.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-teams to ensure alignment to achieve common goals and successful project execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contractual agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and deliver maximum value to the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, providing recommendations and insights for future initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Workstyle

  • At least 4 days per workweek at the Honda corporate office, Torrance, CA. Onefixedremote workdaya week may be possible, with departmentapproval.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience managing and delivering technology projects and products
  • 5 or more years of experience in delivering technology solutions that are Consumer Facing or Impacting Consumer Experience, leading development teams from inception to implementation.
  • Experience in waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience Managing team(s) of 5+ resources
  • Strong understanding of: CRM systems (e.g. - Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.)
  • Understanding of Salesforce eco-system
  • APIs and webservices
  • Understanding of Offers and Incentives
  • Understanding of Lead Management processes
  • Experience working on databases and ETL processes
