DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a leader within the Space Management Section of the Division of Real Estate Services (DORES), this role is responsible for independently directing and supervising large-scale space planning, furniture, and relocation projects. You will lead a team, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and performance management while establishing and implementing operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. By setting clear priorities and driving continuous improvement, you will oversee the optimization of space utilization across the Commonwealth's real estate portfolio. This role involves developing and maintaining comprehensive policies, guidelines, and best practices for space planning, as well as collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align strategies with overarching organizational goals. As a supervisor, you will recruit, develop, and manage staff, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and ongoing professional development. You will also play a pivotal role in streamlining processes to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness in space management operations. In addition to these leadership responsibilities, you will serve as a subject matter expert in space planning, project management, and the use of key technology tools such as TRIRIGA (real estate portfolio management system), drafting software, and other industry specific tools. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring project progress, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring efficient execution of space planning and relocation projects. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders-including architects, engineers, and professionals from the building and construction industry-to meet both functional and regulatory requirements. You will also ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations, provide training on space management processes, and support budgetary planning. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one day per week at headquarters in Harrisburg (subject to change at management discretion). Candidate must also be able to travel to Harrisburg, or other locations around the state to conduct site visits or attend in person meeting as required to perform job duties and meet operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid Class C driver's license.
- You must have leadership, supervisory, or managerial experience.
- You must have project management experience.
- You must have experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and using drafting software.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
