Job Title: System Data Specialist

Department: Accounting

Reports to: Controller

Summary

The System Data Specialist is responsible for maintenance of job packets in the SyteLine system. This position ensures that the flow and integration of data/information is completed in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner. This position requires someone with a high attention to detail and good computer/systems skills with the ability to initiate process improvements. Further, this person must have exceptional communication skills with the ability to speak with both shop, field, and office personnel. The individual in this position must have strong computer skills, Microsoft Office and ERP, and be willing to learn new systems as necessary. A successful candidate must be flexible and able to handle an ever-changing environment.

Success Criteria & Measurement

  • Punctual with good attendance
  • General Payroll knowledge
  • Computer knowledge specifically ERP (Infor) Microsoft Office (mainly Excel)
  • Understand the flow of data and uncover and fix discrepancies
  • Detail oriented and follows directions with minimal oversight
  • Communicate effectively with both shop, field, and office personnel

Responsibilities

  • Understand the flow of information through the ERP system to ensure timely closing of projects and data
  • Supporting the Shop: closing jobs; correcting jobs packets and shipping quantities; filing completed packets
  • Primary position for data corrections in CSI and fixing punches (SyteLine and Factory Track); Time & Attendance Specialist is secondary in this function.
  • Daily Error review and editing from shop punches in Factory Track.
  • As required shipping of project items to proper projects.
  • Scanning drawings for adding to job packets.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in an administrative capacity
  • Strong clerical skills: filing, organizing, data entry, etc.
  • Highly productive working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, customer service and follow-up oriented
  • Ability to work independently and within a team while managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of job accounting/costing a plus
