Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

The Community Liaison - Military Affairs implements the hospital business development plan to exceed admission targets in the assigned geographic territory by focusing on developing and managing productive, long-term referral relationships with primary existing and new military, VA and TRICARE referral sources. This position involves daily travel in a defined geographic territory to meet with contacts with primary referral sources including military bases, VA centers, hospitals, crisis centers, psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health and substance abuse professionals, other physicians, TRICARE approved providers and other community resources.

Job Duties to include:

  • Develop and implement strategic military, VA and approved TRICARE referral account management plans that support the facility clinical resources. Focus on new lead generation and quality referral source development, as well as maintenance of current active duty, VA and approved TRICARE accounts. Establish consistent contact with military, VA and approved TRICARE referral sources and maintain a continuum of care within the GBHS system for admissions, direct care, and discharge information. Participate in military outreach events and organizations in the community.
  • Networks with clinical staff members as needed to obtain information regarding the general progress of military/VA patients to provide feedback to military/VA referral sources
  • Assist the director, other team members, admissions personnel, direct care staff, and any other identified staff in carrying out other related military activities.

Qualifications

Community Liaison - Militairy Affairs Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree in marketing, public relations, business development, and/or communications preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Knowledge of military discipline, structure, and protocols (Veteran/clinical experience preferred)
    • Knowledge of key internal/external health-care environments
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects under pressure. Ability to interpret and communicate data from statistical reports
  • Licenses/Certificates: Valid Driver's License
