Temporary Custodian I

POSITION SUMMARY: The Division of Student Life; Iowa Memorial Union is seeking a Temporary - CustodianI to be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the Iowa Memorial Union

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

• Trash removal; inside and outside of buildings
• Floor work including vacuuming and scrubbing
• Service to horizontal and vertical surfaces including glass, walls, ceilings and light fixtures
• Bed Configurations, moving furniture, load/unload trucks
• Use of commercial custodial equipment
• Professional communication with students, staff, co-workers and visitors
• Position includes labor intensive work including lifting, pushing and pulling

POSITION BASICS:

Hourly Rate/Range:$16.97

WORK SCHEDULE:

Hours:Weekday and weekend hours can be flexible on approval.

Work Week:May work occasional weekends

Additional Hours:May work occasional hours to cover absences and peak periods of operation
