How You'll Perform the Role

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the Sr. HR Manager with daily functions of the HR Department for our location in Yakima, WA.



  • Accurately reconciles Kronos time sheets, prepares and submits for bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Tracks and maintains attendance records; prepares attendance notification documents
  • Completes Personnel Change Notice forms
  • Coordinates and assists in all recruitment-related activities including, but not limited to; posting/communicating open positions, screening candidates, conducting interviews, updating job descriptions, etc.
  • Conducts new-hire orientation
  • Process background checks and pre-employment requirements
  • Completes employment verification requests
  • Maintains employee personnel files
  • Assists with Employee and labor issues
  • Compiles data and publishes related reports including turnover, absenteeism, head count, vacation, etc.
  • Ensures accuracy of and processes employee benefits paperwork
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail
  • Ensures legal compliance - EEO, AAP, FLSA, etc.
  • Member of Employee Appreciation Committee
  • Performs other duties as assigned



What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, or a combination of education and 3-5+ years of work-related experience required
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in an industrial setting
  • Experience with Kronos, ADP or similar HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to build lasting productive business relationships with hourly employees, management, and peers
  • Must possess a high degree of professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when required
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational and auditing skills required
  • Critical decision maker with the ability to work independently
  • Bilingual English/Spanish, helpful
