Certified Electrician

Candidate must have an active TS/SCI

Program: DCCA is recruiting candidates for an exciting opportunity. The program supports a government research and innovation lab and as a contractor, we are responsible for facility management, security, and infrastructure support for the research facility, cybersecurity, systems engineering, architecture engineering, integration, and capability deployment services for the facility tenants, as well as operations support, hardware procurement, and maintenance for multiple sites.

Role: Our Certified Electricians will play a key role in our successful contract execution. They will:

* Work with our systems engineers and architects to ensure that we have adequate power and lighting needed for workspaces and computer rooms and to recommend upgrades for future consideration.

* Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure that all power, generators, and Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) units are in good working order.

* Work with our procurement and logistics teams to ensure that we have adequate spares on hand to handle any issues.

* Provide inputs to the facility Maintenance Plan to document Preventive Maintenance, Inspections, and upgrades needed to ensure 99.96% uptime for facility electrical.

* Identify any required, scheduled downtime needed for maintenance and upgrades.

* Contribute to the creation of a facility Contingency Plan to identify proactive measures to prepare for and respond to any unplanned loss of power and to restore power within 30 minutes of an outage.

* Provide inputs to document and electrical system upgrades or changes.

Requirements: An active TS/SCI clearance is required. At a minimum, our Certified Electrician should have a high school diploma or the equivalent with eight or more years of experience as an electrician, and should hold one or more industry recognized certifications, or a journeyman electrical license from Colorado or a state eligible for reciprocity under the National Electrical Reciprocal Alliance (NERA).

Desired Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following:

* Experience working in classified government facilities and SCIF environments

* Experience supporting and environment that requires greater than 99% uptime

* Experience installing and maintaining large diesel generators for backup power in the event of an outage.

* Experience working with battery banks

* Experience supporting after hours on-call support

The proposed salary range for this position is 100,000 to 200,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
