Job Summary

The Senior Manager Digital Asset is responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of our digital asset ecosystem. This role will develop efficient workflows, implement best in class scalable systems, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that creative and operational teams - including photographers, producers, marketing, and partnerships - can easily find, access, and reuse assets, regardless of technical ability.

Essential Functions

  • Design and implement a scalable digital asset management (DAM) system that includes both cloud-based and on-premises (hot storage) solutions to support 25+ years of Coachella, Stagecoach, and other GV/AEG content.
  • Ingest, organize, tag, and structure large volumes of digital media - including 4K video, photography, artwork, and production documentation - to ensure assets are searchable, accessible, and logically stored.
  • Develop and maintain metadata schemas and folder structures that support efficient manual and AI-powered asset discovery, improving retrieval speed and accuracy.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (creative, production, marketing, and tech) to align DAM workflows with real-time asset needs, especially during live events where quick turnaround and fast ingestion is critical.
  • Manage cloud backup systems and local server infrastructure to ensure asset security, redundancy, and fast retrieval speeds for high-priority content.
  • Create and deliver onboarding materials, training guides, and support resources tailored to users of varying technical proficiency to promote adoption and reduce friction.
  • Establish and administer permission settings and access controls to safeguard sensitive content while enabling efficient collaboration across departments.
  • Stay current on DAM technologies, AI tagging tools, and industry best practices to continually enhance system performance and user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year)
  • 6-8 years in digital asset or media archive management, preferably within entertainment, media, or live events.
  • Expertise in DAM platforms (e.g., Iconik, Frame.io, Bynder, Evolphin, Adobe Experience Manager) and storage technologies (cloud, hot storage, LTO).
  • Proven success organizing large-scale media libraries with complex access needs and high-volume ingestion workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across creative, operational, and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with live event capture, remote collaboration, and AI-supported metadata tools.
  • A strong passion for music, culture, and the inner workings of large-scale live experiences.
  • Experience with AI tagging and image recognition tools.
  • Knowledge of editorial timelines, production workflows, and the legal aspects of asset usage and licensing.
  • Previous experience building or migrating a DAM system from the ground up.

Pay Scale: $123,812 - $168,834
