Description POSITION PURPOSE: To repair and maintain hotel equipment and building systems to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. To answer guest complaints and communicate with guests and associates. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Provide great service while assisting hotel guests with maintenance issues such as minor heating/cooling concerns, plumbing problems, internet/TV connectivity, etc. Prioritize guest requests and repair items as needed. * Conduct daily inspections of hotel (Light fixtures, carpeting, general maintenance, and repairs as needed.) * Do general maintenance outside of hotel (Landscaping, shoveling, light fixtures, and repair as needed.) * Inspect swimming pool area daily (Chemical levels, temperature, pumps, and cleanliness.) * Be available by radio to answer emergency calls promptly. * Inspect fire alarms/ fire extinguishers regularly. Respond to all alarms when on property in order to determine the cause, and react accordingly. * Work closely with front desk and housekeeping associates on daily tasks and special projects. * Communicate professionally & effectively with other associates, guests and vendors. * Conduct safe and careful use of equipment. * Use materials and equipment appropriately to avoid waste and unnecessary repairs. * Create and maintain a safe work environment. * Other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Previous experience with general repair preferred * Ability to use all general repair tools * Ability to use ladders and lift heavy items * Ability to read simple drawings and specifications Must be able to perform basic math * High School education or equivalent. * Must be able to clearly communicate in English BENEFITS:
