Contract Security Officer - Supervisor (Sgt.)

Objective

This position is under the supervision of the Lieutenant for the assigned shift of the security department. It is responsible for protecting, safeguarding, and securing assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.

Essential Functions

• Performs security patrols.
• Records and documents daily events.
• Directs and Supervises personnel assigned.
• Completes reports and assignments as directed.
• Enforces access control procedures.
• Protects property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Investigates and write reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security-related situations.
• Assists customers, employees, and visitors in following the department's procedures.
• May perform other related duties as assigned by a security lieutenant, Captain, and security program manager.

Candidate Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must Be 21 years of age

Must be a high school/GED graduate

Minimum five years of law enforcement/security officer/military experience showing a successful history of increasing levels of responsibility.

Must possess a clearance level of Secret issued by the U.S. Department of Defense

Armed DCJS License

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

The applicant must submit to a pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.

The applicant must be able to pass an NLIC / State / Local Background check and Credit check (as applicable).

The applicant must complete a Physical Agility Test (PAT) successfully.

The applicant must be able to complete a Firearms Qualification (FAQ) successfully.
