Moog is looking for an Operations Coordinator to coordinate team processes, resources, staffing and requirements to meet internal and external customer needs. This position is located in Torrance, CA.

Here's what you'll be working on day-to-day:

  • Align appropriate work with department/team employees, identify equipment needs, identify staffing needs, and coordinate the set-up of work areas to meet expected work outputs of the department.
  • Provide technical expertise on complex setups, operations, procedures, and regulatory concerns that may be unusual or difficult, where specific methods may not be available.
  • Identify and initiate process improvements and Lean activities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency.
  • Assists in developing employees to support the performance and growth of the department or team.
  • Operate machines and equipment or perform functional hands-on duties approximately 40% of the time to ensure department requirements and turnaround times are met.
  • Manage all incoming receiving goods at the Torrance site
  • Maintain inventory accuracy of all crates used for repairs and OEM shipments.
  • Control incoming and outgoing crate traffic

At a minimum, you'll need to meet these qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of Shipping/Receiving experience

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of Shipping/Receiving experience and/or Associate's Degree and 3+ years of Shipping/Receiving experience
  • Knowledge of MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Leadership skills; ability to guide the team or department in meeting customer requirements
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with the area manager/supervisor, team members, internal customers, others internal to Moog as well as representatives from vendors and suppliers.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills in order to effectively coordinate work through the area.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range Transparency:

Torrance, CA $32.00-$36.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
