THE JOB: The Director of Entertainment Production is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of event production, media technology services, and special event operations across the property. This role supports the Executive Director of Entertainment by providing strategic oversight, operational leadership, and creative direction for live event production, audio/visual services, staging, lighting, and event setup execution. The Director ensures all activities align with company business objectives, budget guidelines, the mission statement, and core service standards. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
The Director of Entertainment Production supports the Executive Director of Corporate Entertainment and property leadership in implementing strategic plans aligned with MGM Resorts International's objectives. This role provides operational and fiscal leadership for Event Services, Theater Conversion, Technical, and Production departments-ensuring seamless execution of all live entertainment, televised, sporting, and private events across the property. The Director serves as the primary liaison between production teams and internal/external clients, conducting technical walk-throughs and ensuring all technical advances are executed to the highest standards. This position leads the installation and maintenance of projection, lighting, audio, video display systems, and supporting infrastructure across venues. Additionally, the Director fosters employee engagement through training and development, enforces safety and security protocols, and ensures all events are executed efficiently, on-brand, and in alignment with core service standards.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Entertainment, Theater Production, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. They will bring 4+ years of relevant experience in entertainment or theatrical environments, with a strong focus on stage management, production operations, or technical direction. This individual will have a proven track record of leading the installation and integration of projection systems, lighting, audio, video displays, and related infrastructure across diverse venues. Experience managing capital projects, developing technical scopes of work, and implementing new technology solutions is essential. Strong candidates will demonstrate a deep technical knowledge base, combined with excellent leadership skills and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams. They will be highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of ensuring flawless production execution while driving innovation and maintaining alignment with brand standards and guest expectations.

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's incentive plan.
