Clinical Technician 1 - APU -Acute Pulmonary Unit

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 1 to join the Acute Pulmonary Unit. This role will be full-time day/night rotating shift from Monday - Friday (including some weekends), 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m./ 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Clinical Technician Job Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.

  • Blood Draws
  • IV Insertion
  • Catheter / Foley insertion
  
  
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

Requirements:

• Work Schedule: (3) 12-hour shift (Monday - Friday {including some weekends} days/nights rotating, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.)
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
