Development Intern - Austin

Job Description:

Ryan Companies has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a High School Development Intern! This role is designed for high schoolers to gain exposure specific to a Development Manager position. Additionally, this role will gain insight into additional opportunities available in the real estate industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning development industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.

• Gain a working understanding of development pursuits, process and execution at Ryan Companies.

• Develop a first-hand understanding of development budgets, entitlement, finance and construction.

• Jobsite experience will be limited to interns that are over the age of 18.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Interest in a career in the development and construction industry.

• Able to work at least 10 hours per week in-person.

• Able to commute to our Austin office.

• Working toward a high school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and finance skills

• Show a high level of professionalism and the ability to juggle multiple tasks

• Self-motivated

• Eager to work with a project team and learn about the development and construction industry

Eligibility:

Compensation:

The hourly rate is $15/hr. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position is not eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
