Job Summary

We are looking for a Part-Time/Seasonal Diesel Shop Helper to support our shop operations by cleaning, organizing, pulling parts, and providing basic assistance to our diesel technicians. This seasonal role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, an interest in the diesel repair industry, and a desire to contribute to a fast-paced shop environment. The position offers valuable experience and the opportunity to support our team during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize the shop, ensuring tools, equipment, and work areas are tidy and properly maintained.
• Pull parts from the inventory as requested by technicians and assist with organizing parts and supplies.
• Assist with basic tasks such as moving vehicles or equipment within the shop or yard as needed.
• Support technicians by delivering tools, parts, or materials to work areas.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and organizing parts and supplies.
• Perform other basic support duties assigned by shop supervisors or technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of shop operations and willingness to learn about diesel repair environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Basic knowledge of tools or inventory systems is a plus but not required.
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule (approximately 20-25 hours per week, seasonal duration based on business needs).
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
