GENERAL PURPOSE
This position directs and supervises department personnel and all associated
activities. Implement lean manufacturing systems and strategy to ensure a safe work environment,
maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide exceptional customer service, develop a
technically qualified workforce, reduce operating costs and lead times through continuous improvements.
Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Schedule production floor work according to job priorities and reevaluate the workload numerous timesthroughout the day
* Monitor headcount and increase or decrease the workforce utilizing a temporary workforce toensure sufficient capacity to meet internal and external customers' needs.* Ensure that products are made to print and are held to the highest quality standards

* Ensure that all operators are following the proper processes and procedures that are required in theperformance of their daily duties
* Work with the Planning team and the Manufacturing Engineering team to analyze and solve workflow problems to maximize efficiency and product output
* Lead daily production meeting and provide status updates on sales orders that have missed theirscheduled ship dates
* Review, update, and manage the production floor employees' Time & Attendance records in the TimeManagement System
* Work with the Planning team to investigate inventory discrepancies and help identify the root causeof the discrepancy, and then implement procedural changes to eliminate these root cause issues
* Act as a liaison between multiple functional areas to resolve issues that affect the production and thedelivery of the product
* Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve shop floor metrics
* Responsible for all aspects of performance management, including interviewing, hiring, training,performance evaluations, and recognition
* Provide effective, constructive, and appropriate feedback and leadership to direct reports to fosterpa ositive, team atmosphere
* Ensure personal and professional development of direct reports
* Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or concerns
* Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures
* Conduct daily safety checks, weekly safety meetings, and participate in safety committee audits
* Understand workplace hazards and take steps to prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace proactively. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations

* Perform other duties deemed necessary to support the Company's business operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
* Proven ability to manage people; train and motivate employees, as well as delegate effectively
* Dependable and enthusiastic with the ability to use good judgment, work independently withminimal direction, and possess a strong initiative and positive attitude
* Strong process focus - ability to recommend and implement changes in processes timproventefficiency and performance
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.
* Proven knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing Principles. (Kanban, 7S, Value Stream
Mapping, Single Piece Flow.....)
* Understanding of MRP inputs and outputs
* Proven ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
* Must possess a high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information
* Must be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills

* Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using
judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations, orgovernment law
* Strong metric focus
* Proficient in the use of personal computers, the internet, and the Microsoft Office suite of software, including
Word, Excel, and Outlook (or a related e-mail system)
* High math aptitude
* Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
* Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience in amanufacturing environment, 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ora combination of relevant education and experience.
* Previous experience with ERP systems
Special Job Requirements:
* Ability to work long hours and weekends as required to support the core business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
* Project management and planning skills
* SAP Knowledge
* Production Planning system experience
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach above shoulder level, reach below knee level, bend/twist/stoop, squat/kneel, climb, and regularly lift/carry up to 40 lbs. as needed. Also, it may include pushing/pulling. Regularly requires coordinated movements of the fingers for data entry on a
keyboard.
