Overview:

The Transportation Analyst will provide cross-functional analytical support for supply chain, finance, and customer service through logistics metrics, reporting, and general supply chain projects. They will ensure quality logistics execution as part of the Supply Chain function in the most cost-effective manner to create value. This success of this analyst will depend greatly on the candidate's ability to think outside the box, challenge the status quo, and exercise a future-fit mentality. The candidate will be able to use story-telling to drive improvement and change through analysis and data.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the Beiersdorf transportation network for import and export shipments within North America

* Maintain relationships with other Beiersdorf regions/countries as well as the carrier network and ensuring optimal service including tactical issues on an exception basis. Coordinate monthly KPI meetings with various stakeholders internally and externally.

* Develop, maintain, and report on transportation metrics, KPIs, and carrier scorecards such as On Time Delivery and Cost Improvement Programs. This includes robust data collection, turning data into information, and analysing data for trends and opportunities

* Maintaining workflows to ensure Beiersdorf Inc is keeping all certifications active for CTPAT and CUSMA

* Coordinating specified transportation services, including inbound freight management, outbound freight management, strategic transportation analysis, compliance, claims, freight payment, import/export services, and deviations

* Involved with the yearly transportation tender for imports(Over the road, sea and air freight)

* Responsible for monthly global reporting with the North American team(RCM, CO2)

* Represent Transportation Department (with or in lieu of Manager) in cross functional projects as needed

Requirements:

* BS in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field highly preferred

* Minimum three (3) years of related professional experience is required. Experience in international logistics, customer service, transportation, distribution, operations, and information technology is preferred

* Knowledge and experience with the following:

  • customs clearing process in North America and ability to create necessary commercial documents
  • FDA, U.S. Fish and wildlife service and customs holds
  • CTPAT and CUSMA

* You are a partner: Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are required to succeed with internal and external business partners is required. You make connections easily and quickly with stakeholders to ensure the business initiatives are met.

* You are self-driven: Must be organized with excellent and effective follow-up skills; You manage yourself as well as those around you to ensure tasks are completed and on time. You hunt for opportunities and work to enhance or resolve them.

* You are a story teller: Ability to translate analytical findings into clear and concise summaries

* You are a multi-tasker: Ability to handle multiple priorities successfully and work independently while demonstrating initiative is required

  • You are data driven: Demonstrated analytical experience and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment is required

* Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically with Excel using v-Lookups and Pivot Tables is required; experience with PowerBI, Tableau, TMS and other data platforms (ex: FourKites, Macropoint) preferred

* WMS and TMS system experience, SAP experience is preferred

* Experience with supplier relationship management across multiple modes of transportation is preferred

* Project management experience in an extremely fast paced, high energy and growing organization is preferred

* Ability to meet deadlines

* Not required but ability to speak Spanish is preferred
