We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our dynamic team. The role will focus on the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes, including automation systems, machine design, and capital equipment projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in root cause and corrective action (RCCA), automation integration, SolidWorks, strong hands-on mechanical aptitude, familiarity with industrial electrical and PLC programing (Studio 5000), and a proven track record in lean manufacturing and process improvement. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and high-quality production outcomes.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead the design, qualification, and deployment of automation systems and capital equipment, ensuring alignment with production goals and standards.
  • Conduct root cause and corrective action (RCCA) to address process and product quality issues, implementing sustainable long-term solutions.
  • Redesign and improve existing machinery components and production systems, utilizing SolidWorks, Studio 5000, and other design tools.
  • Investigate, Integrate, and manage vision systems and other automated inspection technologies to improve quality control and production accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste and improve efficiency.
  • Manage capital equipment projects from scope development through execution, including budgeting, timeline management, and vendor coordination.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth integration of new products and technologies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive data-driven process improvements to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout all phases of production.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or field service engineering role.
  • Proven experience in RCCA, automation design and qualification, vision system integration, and machine design.
  • Expertise in SolidWorks and other relevant design and analysis tools.
  • Strong experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing capital equipment projects, including scope, execution, and vendor management.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, self-directing, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in Rockwell Studio 5000 and RSLogix 500 is preferred.
  • Experience with computer networking and programing languages such as Python, SQL, Java, and C/C++ is a plus, particularly in support of automation, data analysis, or equipment integration.

The expected annual salary for this position is between $86,075.00 and $115,771.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
