Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Director (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to

  • Lead a Cybersecurity Security Architecture and Product Engineering team that works on critical applications.
  • Apply security design principles to develop security solutions architectures.
  • Provide strategic points of view for security solutions.
  • Develop and/or carry out the strategic direction of security projects to enable execution of the information security strategy.
  • Develop security solutions to enable execution of the long-term security architecture in the infrastructure security area.
  • Drive security technologies evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and production pilots.
  • Build strong cross organizational relationships and effectively influence staff across the IT organization and product groups.
  • Manage lifecycle of security technologies and SDLC.
  • Collaborate with technology architects to ensure that security is properly embedded in their technology domains architectures.
  • Assist technology architects in defining the variance processes and making variance decisions.
  • Deliver comprehensive architecture specifications for complex infrastructure security solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, including but not limited to, product documentation, technology and systems/network architecture, and technical whitepapers.
  • Write APIs to integrate various systems (e.g., Hadoop, Oracle, SQL, Active-Directory (AD), SSO).
  • Speak to security principles in areas such as network, systems, virtualization, cloud technologies, access control.
  • Work with compliance, regulatory and legal requirements relevant to the payments processing industry.
  • Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, followed by 10 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an Information Security Engineer or Computer Systems Engineer/Architect-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following skills:
  • Java and Microservices API
  • Spring Boot
  • Web services standards and HTTP, REST, JSON
  • API design and system and component design.
  • MySQL, Tomcat, Oracle
  • MongoDB and Docker
  • Web security and APIs Security
  • Distributed computing
  • Software Development Lifecycle Methodology (SDLM) and Agile based methodologies.
  • Shell and Power Shell Scripting.
Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not required travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $196,000.00 USD to $313,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position is eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time off and Wellness Programs.
