ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

1. Wand trays as they come from Final Inspection or Packing Machine to produce a "shipped" status in the computer system

2. Print billing invoices and distribute them by tray number into trays that were just scanned.

3. Wrap glasses and/or lenses in foam, the billing invoice, AR cloth, Quality Card, and Marketing Materials with a rubber band

4. File appropriate paperwork accordingly

5. Maintain packing machine running and loaded with labels and envelops

6. Clear errors from automatic equipment

7. Distribute wrapped jobs into the appropriate shipping bins

8. Place empty trays on assigned cart to be taken back out to Receiving

9. At shipping time, box jobs accordingly, place appropriate address label and bar code label on box, tape the box and place box in a pile or bag according to courier service

10. Keep records of materials sent

11. Forward packages via USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, in house couriers, etc.

12. Communicate with Supervisor/Manager regarding issues and problems

Secondary Duties Occasionally back up delivery personnel

1. Restock supplies

2. Print and separate return labels

3. Keep up on label supply for each account

4. Understand each shipping program

5. Send work to designated areas

6. Maintain workstation and work areas clean and organized

7. Cross trains on tasks from other areas of the lab

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

* High School Diploma or GED

Experience

* None required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Able and willing to work as a team

* Must be able to work Overtime, Saturdays and Sundays and some holidays when needed

* Able to read and write English Language well

* Basic Computer skills (Windows, MS Office)

* Able to work with automated equipment

* Problem solving skills

* Work without constant supervision

* Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time

Physical Requirements

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, and color vision.

Safety Requirements

* Basic understanding of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and the Hazard Communication Program

* Closed toe shoe required

* Must use proper ergonomics when lifting

* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
