Job Summary: The Dietitian Informatics Manager is responsible for oversight, build and maintenance of all electronic diet office systems (Computrition Hospitality Suite) and related applications (i.e.-OnTray, Bedside Connect, LLEAP, One Portal Nutritional Services & Clinical Nutrition Microsites, OWL) for all LLUH Hospitals (UH, EC, SH, BMC, CH) and outpatient areas (PACE/ADC/BHI). Communicates with LLUH -Murrieta as necessary for system updates. Monitors and maintains interface functionality between LLEAP and Computrition systems for all Adult and CH hospitals to assure diet and food allergy orders correctly interface to each Computrition system. Acts as the liaison between clinical nutrition, food systems operations and IS, collaborating with all parties involved and/or multidisciplinary subject matter experts regarding system go-lives, upgrades, software updates, testing and implementing system enhancements, and resolving system problems. Assists in establishing business processes, policies and procedures, system disaster preparedness, and maintaining other electronic systems. Serves as an expert by directly overseeing the functionality of Computrition and related software, and assisting with educating and supervising staff, students and new hires on electronic devices and software. Directly provides oversight, mentoring and guidance to the Informatics Diet Technician, partnering to assure projects are completed according to time frame. Acts as an OWL administrator by partnering with the Clinical Nutrition Educator, Clinical Manager, Direct, and Executive Director development and implementation of competencies in OWL. Acts as a PolicyTech administrator by partnering with the Executive Director, Director, Manager, Educator, and other entities as needed, with creating, updating, and implementation of policies in PolicyTech. These duties are performed for all LLUH hospitals and Nutrition Support Team. Serves in a consultant role for Loma Linda University and LLU Murrieta campus. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a Nutrition and/Informatics related field. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience working in a clinical setting required. Minium two years of experience working with electronic diet office systems and related applications preferred. Knowledge and Skills: A thorough knowledge of clinical nutrition in area of specialty. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Access, and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors, and customers. Excellent analytic, communication, and documentation skills. Able to organize technical work; demonstrate excellent planning, problem solving, analysis, documentation, presentation and organization skills; analyze and interpret data, processes and needs based on limited information; organize work and resources; define problems and solutions, prioritize work load; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
