About The Position The Mechanical (ME) Engineer performs engineering studies, designs, technical specification development, construction, and commissioning activities for new natural gas combined cycle(NGCC) and simple cycle gas turbine(SC) energy centers for Ameren Missouri. In addition, this role may require support for projects at other existing or new Power Operations Generation facilities including fossil, gas, hydro and renewable. The position will include project support duties that may require long and/or non-standard work hours. The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Supervising Engineer. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical engineering from an accredited college or university required. Missouri Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or commitment to actively pursue one in Missouri preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Three or more years of engineering experience in simple cycle, combined cycle or Rankin cycle experience preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Candidate must have good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate must also have capability to work effectively as part of a project team with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments and projects. Must be highly adaptable to a changing industry and willing to stay current with the latest industry technologies. Willing to travel to project site locations. Overnight travel is expected to be limited. *Technical career path level depends upon applicants' credentials and position market pay level. Additional Information Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Compensation Range: $69,300.00 - $210,000.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
