Position Title: Commercial Operations Coordinator Reports To:Director of Chartering & Commercial Operations Schedule: Monday through Friday business hours and additional as required Location: Dania Beach, FL. Position Supervised: None Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transportation, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline; or a combination of formal education and a minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial marine operations. Experience Minimum of seven (7) years of petroleum vessel operations, chartering, or marine transportation experience, with demonstrated leadership in complex logistical environments with at least one (1) year of seagoing experience. Languages English Traits Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels and functions. Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric mindset to maintain and grow key business relationships. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and enhance operational processes, implementing improvements that drive efficiency and compliance. Sound financial acumen, cost analysis, and variance reporting. Collaborative leadership style with the ability to guide cross-functional initiatives and foster team accountability. Strategic thinker capable of analyzing market trends and operational data to inform proactive decision-making. Agility in managing multiple priorities and adapting to dynamic business environments. Skilled in leading or supporting organizational change initiatives and embedding best practices in a compliance-driven industry. Preferred Qualifications Skills/Software Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint, IMOS Veson, and data visualization tools such as Power BI. Familiarity with voyage management systems, ERP platforms, and maritime compliance tools is advantageous. Ability to multitask and manage/oversee multiple vessels. Duties and Responsibilities: The position requires not only commercial operations oversight but also strategic problem-solving, commercial acumen, and the ability to serve as the central conduit between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders. This person will ensure operational excellence across the fleet while reinforcing a culture that drives long-term value and fosters high-trust relationships.
