Overview (Scope of Role)

The Senior Manager Corporate FP&A is a financial steward of the organization, preserving the assets by managing risks and ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting and communication of financial results to management, including the P&L, balance sheet and cash flows. Oversee the monthly forecast, annual plan and five-year strategy processes with financial projections, reporting and communicating the financial impacts of business operations, various strategic initiatives, and changes in the market/competitive environment. Oversee the financial close and reporting process, assist with audit requests, and work with the Controllers organization on the preparation of external financial statements and ensure the Company's financial results are free from material misstatements. Provide leadership for reporting, analyzing and forecasting Corporate costs, working with functional leads to understand and communicate results. Additionally, oversee and ensure the execution of various cross-functional initiatives including Business Excellence.

Develop close working relationship with the Executive Leadership Team and develop a deep understanding of the organizational processes and priorities. Work conjointly with Corporate Development and investment banks on business portfolio analysis and Investor Relations on investor communications.



Responsibilities

Monthly/Quarterly Company and segment performance, financial reporting, forecast analysis and communication

    Evaluate monthly actual results and deviations from forecasts for the Company
  • Review forecast submissions with business leaders
  • Challenge assumptions and evaluate options and drive actions to ensure financial objectives are achieved
  • Financial reporting and related controls; support the preparation of Company financial filings and external communications
  • Prepare communication and related management reporting for ELT and BOD, etc

Strategic Project Value Creation / Capture

  • Lead the value creation / capture approach including timelines, baseline financials development, target setting, opportunity ideation and identification, project evaluation, phasing, and prioritization, developing tracking metrics, execution and monitoring

Functional Management / Business Excellence

  • Evaluate performance of functions, benchmarking performance
  • Identify significant challenges/variances/optimizations and develop tactical plans to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.

Annual Budget and Long-Term Planning process

  • Own and be responsible for the coordination and oversight of the Company's annual long-term planning and budgeting processes, and the strategy update processes, challenge assumptions, initiatives and outputs, coordinate schedule and format/content of deliverables, prepare communications and related management reporting for ELT and BOD.

Global FP&A (Corporate and Business) processes

  • Define FP&A processes, process improvement, standardization, and consolidations including financial system support and improvement


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Business Management / Finance / Accounting (Masters/MBA/CPA/CFA preferred)
  • 15+ years of FP&A experience
  • US Public company experience with understanding of related external filing requirements.
  • Strong understanding of accounting; prior manufacturing cost accounting experience strongly recommended
  • People leadership experience
  • International management experience
  • Economic evaluation; mergers & acquisitions experience
  • Strong analytical ability with a deep understand of financial analysis, financial concepts and applications - broad knowledge required in areas such as project analysis (NPV, IRR, payback), operational analysis including currency, M&A & Divestitures analysis, etc
  • Global perspective and a certain level of (manufacturing) industry experience.
  • In-Depth understanding of business strategy as well as macro-economic trends and how they impact results and forecasts; understanding of market factors and customer interactions and how they impact business results
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills critical due to communications with the ELT, Board of Directors and business leadership / management
